Election Commission Ready to Investigate Pathum Thani Vote Counting Irregularities
The Election Commission (EC) is prepared to thoroughly investigate the vote counting situation in Pathum Thani with a neutral perspective. Deputy Secretary-General Rt. Lt. Phaskorn Siriphakayaporn emphasized that while votes were counted twice, the overall results remain largely unchanged. Only minor adjustments of 1-2 votes might occur due to ballot interpretation, but no significant party shifts have happened.
Phaskorn stressed that the vote counting process follows strict verification steps and cannot be manipulated by social media pressure. He explained that there are two channels for challenging results: filing an official complaint with evidence or EC's own investigation if irregularities are detected.
The EC official repeatedly affirmed that no one can arbitrarily change vote counts, and all results remain publicly displayed at polling stations. The official formal election results will be certified through the official EC district announcement (SS 6/1).
