Royal Decree Calls for Extraordinary Parliamentary Session to Select Election Commissioners

The Royal Gazette published an announcement for an extraordinary parliamentary session on February 26th. King Vajiralongkorn issued a royal command to convene the session during the period of dissolved House of Representatives. The purpose is to allow the Senate to perform its constitutional duty of selecting and approving candidates for key positions including Election Commissioners, Ombudsmen, and State Audit Commissioners as specified in the Constitution.
