50 Years of Women's Business Federation Prepares to Launch 'Powerful Women' Project
The Federation of Business and Professional Women's Association of Thailand, the largest private women's organization in the country, was founded on December 14, 1964, by Lady Somsri Charoenrachjakorn. Initially established in Bangkok and later expanding to Chiang Mai and Songkhla, the organization became a registered federation in 1976 and has been under royal patronage since 1981. The organization has played a crucial role in developing Thai women's professional capabilities across multiple dimensions, including business and professional sectors. Key projects include recognition awards, young leadership development, and financial discipline programs. Currently, the federation has 24 member associations nationwide and works to elevate women's status, providing opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs to showcase their potential at the ASEAN level. In 2026, Khunying Natthika Vathanavekin Angubunkul, the federation's president, is preparing to launch the '50 Years of Powerful Women' project to commemorate their achievements.
