Cabinet Approves Board Appointments for Government Banks

Government Spokesperson Aiyarin Panrit revealed that the Cabinet has approved the Ministry of Finance's proposal to expand the Government Savings Bank board of directors to between 11 and 15 members. Six new board members were appointed, including Sethajak Liyakart, Decha Pruekpattanaraksa, Worawit Chailimpamontri, Pakorn Arpapan, Suphat Metheeworapot, and Rangsan Thammaneewong. The appointments will be effective from February 10, 2026, with the new members serving the remainder of the current board's term. Additionally, the Cabinet approved appointing Chantananon Wannakhet as a new board member for the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, replacing Norawit Lahlang who resigned.
