KMUTNB Launches KNACKSAT-2 Satellite into Space Orbit
KNACKSAT-2 is a 3U CubeSat satellite (30 x 10 x 10 cm) designed and developed entirely by Thai researchers at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, using over 98% domestic materials. It is a collaborative multi-payload satellite platform that allows research institutions, universities, and private sectors to share space technology resources. The satellite will orbit at approximately 400 kilometers above Earth with a mission lifespan of 18 months, involving 7 different payload systems developed in collaboration with 7 domestic and international organizations including research institutes, universities, and technology companies from Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
