Nattapong Declares People's Party Accepts Election Results, Not the Top Party, Prepares to be Opposition
At 9:45 PM on February 8, 2569, at the New Future Building, the People's Party headquarters, Nattapong held a press conference after ranking second in the election, behind Bhumjaithai Party. With him were Somphorn Juengruengkit (Thanathorn's mother) and Suchat Ruangpanyawut (Nattapong's father). Nattapong thanked Thai citizens for voting and expressing their will. Though unofficial results are not 100% finalized, he noted a high likelihood of approval for drafting a new constitution. He acknowledged that their party is not the number one party and respects the parliamentary political process. He emphasized that the Bhumjaithai Party can form a government, and his party will serve as the opposition as previously declared. When asked about potentially forming an alternative government, he stated they would not compete and would let the top party proceed first. Nattapong stressed that every election reflects the people's intentions and that they respect the election results, remaining committed to continuing political work and pushing policies for all citizens.
