OIE Highlights 'Rising Beyond Challenges' Approach to New Industrial Era

The Office of Industrial Economics (OIE) hosted its 17th OIE Forum, opening a platform to 'Overcome Challenges and Propel Thai Industries Towards a Sustainable Future' with the concept of 'Rising Beyond Challenges'. Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, served as the forum's chairman and delivered a special keynote speech on 'Driving Thai Industry Towards New Sustainable Growth' at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The Permanent Secretary highlighted the development of three key industrial sectors: the automotive industry's shift towards electric vehicles, which continues to expand well; the electrical and electronics industry with ongoing developments in PCB, HDD, computers, and components; and the food industry, which maintains positive growth. He emphasized that despite global economic challenges, Thai industries must focus on four key strategies: future competitiveness, social and community care, adapting to global regulations, and income distribution. The Ministry of Industry is committed to driving sustainable industrial development through digital technology, standardization, and supporting local economic growth.
