Ekanit Confirms Continued 'Half-Half Plus' Project, Aims to Expedite 2027 Budget

Ekanit Nitithunprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, revealed that after government formation is complete, the Half-Half Plus project will definitely continue as a key government policy. He emphasized that they currently have time to design project details, focusing on enhancing skills for shops and citizens. Regarding the budget, Ekanit noted that the timeline depends on government formation, potentially using the 2026 or 2027 central budget. He personally estimates the budget will be delayed no more than 2-3 months, potentially usable around November-December 2026. His primary concern is maintaining economic continuity and avoiding any potential economic disruption.
