The Thailand Junior Championship – AJGA International Pathway Series 2026 will launch at Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai from August 13–16, 2025. As part of the AJGA International Pathway Series, it provides young golfers worldwide the chance to develop their skills and build pathways to international golf competition. The event aims to give Thai junior golfers a platform to compete against foreign athletes and advance toward opportunities at universities in the United States. The championship has been officially included in the AJGA International Pathway Series calendar.

The event is being presided over by Surasak Koetjuntuk, Deputy Director-General of the Thai Sports Authority's Sports Promotion Division. Attending the press conference are Bheem Nakhonsri, Head of the Sports Fund Division; Dr. Taweevat Taweepol, Chief Executive Officer of Rand Development; and junior golfer representatives including Richie Kittiwattanakul, who has won two AJGA championships in the United States (Moon Golf Junior All-Star presented by Auburn-Opelika Tourism and AJGA Junior All-Star at Cypress Lakes).

Surasak Koetjuntuk stated that this is an excellent opportunity for Thai youth to advance golf development and serves as an important platform for future competition. Bheem Nakhonsri expressed confidence in the potential of Thailand's young golfers to compete internationally and hopes to see them succeed in future competitions. Dr. Taweevat Taweepol highlighted the honor of multiple sectors supporting the event, noting that as second-time hosts, they view this as cultivating quality talent that can progress to other international competitions.

The competition will be held over three days with 54 holes of stroke play at Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai from August 13–16, 2025, providing a pathway for participants to advance toward competing and studying at universities in the United States.

On August 7, Phuket City Police, under the supervision of Pol. Col. Chatri Chuekaew, led a raid on a rental room in Soi Kingkaew, Moo 3, Rattada subdistrict, Phuket City. The operation was conducted by deputy superintendent Pol. Lt. Krapol Liang Bunjinda and investigator Pol. Lt. Kan Aksonthong, together with Pudthachad Sangpraphan, a pharmaceutical specialist from the Phuket Provincial Health Office. Police arrested Ms. Ploy (alias), age 25, and seized four peptide weight-loss pen sets, twelve 0.5 cc syringes, and a mobile phone. On August 7, 2026, Dr. Trin Phothiraksa, a lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences at Mahidol University's Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, offered expert analysis of the school shooting at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi that left multiple people dead and injured. Dr. Trin explained that before such incidents occur, children typically accumulate feelings of shame, hurt, resentment, and pain—or a sense of being treated unjustly—until their capacity for anger reaches a breaking point. Understanding what experiences contribute to this buildup is essential.

Regarding targeted violent incidents of this nature, many cases do not result from momentary impulse or poor emotional control, but rather from prolonged accumulation of grievances followed by deliberate planning and preparation, such as acquiring weapons. Therefore, identifying ways to interrupt this process is critically important. Dr. Trin also stressed the need to examine the online environment, noting that while video games are not the primary cause, they can serve as a contributing or isolating factor that disconnects the perpetrator from reality. Games thus play a role in behavior but are not the whole picture.

The Inner Circle 25 event at Lumpinee Stadium (Rama Intra) on August 7 showcased a bantamweight title bout between Nabil Anane, a former ONE Muay Thai world champion, and Tiger Kim Pong Suphon PK from Chanthaburi, with the winner advancing to challenge for the title. In the opening round, both fighters exercised caution, with Nabil relying on his longer reach and kicks while Tiger Kim waited to counter with straight punches. Marat Grigoryan, a hard-hitting Armenian boxer, faced Mamuka Usubiyan, a dangerous Russian fighter, in a ONE Samurai Tournament kickboxing featherweight semifinal. Grigoryan emerged confidently, unleashing relentless attacks and footwork to overcome Usubiyan and advance to the next round.

The co-main event was a rematch between Abdullah Dayakayev, a sharp Russian boxer, and Superlek Superlek, the ONE Kickboxing flyweight world champion from Buriram, fought under Muay Thai bantamweight rules to settle their rivalry. Their previous encounter occurred at The Inner Circle 14 on May 15, 2025, when Abdullah missed weight but Superlek agreed to fight; Superlek lost by non-unanimous decision. In the opening round of this rematch, Superlek fought with focused strategy, seeking opportunities to strike with elbows and kicks. However, in the second round, an accident occurred: as Abdullah pressed forward with heavy punches, Superlek suddenly collapsed and pointed to his leg. The referee stopped the fight, awarding Abdullah a TKO victory in the second round and evening the score.

The Inner Circle 25 event at Lumpinee Stadium (Rama Intra) on August 7 featured a main event between former ONE Muay Thai bantamweight (135-145 lbs) world champion Nabil Anane and tiger-striped challenger Tiger Kim Pong Suphon from Chachoengsao fighting under Muay Thai bantamweight rules, with the victor earning the right to compete for the title next.

Before the main event, Armenian striker Marat Grigoryan faced dangerous Russian fighter Mamuka Usuzubyan in a ONE Samurai Tournament featherweight (145-155 lbs) semifinal. Grigoryan confidently closed the distance and relentlessly launched strikes to chase down Usuzubyan before securing a unanimous points victory and advancing to the next round.

In the co-main event, Russian striker Abdullah Dayakaev had a rematch with Super Lek, ONE's current kickboxing flyweight champion from Buriram, under Muay Thai bantamweight rules to settle their rivalry once and for all.

Their previous fight occurred at The Inner Circle 14 on May 15, 2025, when Abdullah missed weight but Super Lek agreed to compete anyway, ultimately losing by split decision.

In the first round of this rematch, Super Lek executed a detailed game plan, attempting elbows and kicks against Abdullah. However, in the second round, while Abdullah was aggressively throwing punches, Super Lek suddenly dropped to the canvas and pointed to his leg, prompting the referee to stop the fight and award Abdullah a TKO victory at 2:39 of round two, avenging his earlier loss.
