LOSO Legend Sek Returns With 30-Year Reunion Concert
Thai rock legend Sek Loso announced a 30-year anniversary concert at Siam Square, expressing support for rising 16-year-old guitarist Nene and encouraging young musicians to pursue music through dedicated practice.
Thai rock legend Sek Loso, or Seksak Sukphimai, held a major press conference with his bandmates announcing the 30th anniversary concert "30 Years of LOSO: Worth the Wait" at Lido Hall 2 in Siam Square. The band will perform all their hit songs, and Sek discussed his role as an idol to younger musicians, particularly offering support to rising 16-year-old rock guitarist and singer Nene, who is currently gaining international recognition for Thailand.
When asked how LOSO has inspired the new generation, Sek said: "I believe many young people listen to LOSO's music a lot. I'm grateful and want to give encouragement to everyone who follows us. I hope our music brings happiness and knowledge to all listeners."
Regarding Nene, whom he called a fan of LOSO, Sek expressed admiration: "I have great respect for her. At just 16 years old, to play guitar and sing at her level is truly excellent. I heard that Sek is her idol too. I'm thankful for that mutual admiration, and I want to give her encouragement and cheer her on to the finals. All Thai people should support Nene."
When asked how to advise the many young people who consider him an idol, Sek emphasized dedication: "I want young people to practice extensively. When I played guitar, I practiced 6 to 8 hours daily, then performed at night for another 3 to 4 hours—spending 10 hours a day with the guitar. For anyone interested in music, practice hard. Music can keep you away from drug addiction. I am completely clean now and have been drug-free for eight years. I ask Thai people to trust us, and I want everyone to know that Sek, LOSO, and the entire band are now completely pure. Thank you for your support."
