Man Dies After Motorcycle Crashes Into Power Pole on Way to Work
A 46-year-old motorcyclist died after crashing into a power pole near Rajabhat Lampang University in Lampang Province on his way to work; rescue workers performed CPR but were unable to revive him.
A tragic accident claimed the life of a 46-year-old motorcyclist who crashed into a power pole near Rajabhat Lampang University. Emergency responders performed CPR but were unable to save him.
Police from Khlong Khlung Station received a report at approximately 8:00 PM on May 19, 2025, of a motorcycle accident involving a power pole collision with a seriously injured victim in front of Rajabhat Lampang University, Soi 7, Chumphu Subdistrict, Mueang District, Lampang Province. Officers coordinated with rescue personnel from Amarin Rescue to respond.
When rescue workers arrived at the scene, they found a severely damaged Yamaha Fino motorcycle wedged against a roadside power pole. Nearby, they discovered a middle-aged man lying unconscious on the road with severe head injuries.
Rescue officials immediately provided assistance and performed CPR to attempt to save his life, but the victim did not respond and was later pronounced dead. The on-duty doctor from Lampang Hospital was contacted for preliminary autopsy procedures. The victim was later identified as Mr. Tu Kanchai Ya, 46 years old.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim had been riding his motorcycle from the area in front of Rajabhat Lampang University heading to his workplace at the end of Soi 7 when he lost control and struck the power pole with significant force, resulting in his death. His body was transported to Lampang Hospital pending family notification for merit-making ceremonies.
