Thailand's Energy Conservation Promotion Fund Office has released comprehensive statistics showing that over 30 years, from 1995 to 2025, it allocated approximately 142.3 billion baht to 14,870 energy conservation projects, resulting in total energy savings of about 21,287 kilotons of oil equivalent (ktoe), valued at approximately 516.7 billion baht—more than three times the amount invested. Fund Manager Ratchathat Siripanit announced that the majority of funding went to factories, buildings, government agencies, hospitals, educational institutions, SMEs, and farming groups in line with government policy.

Historically, the fund operated under the Ministry of Finance until 1995, then transferred to the Ministry of Energy in 1998, and finally became an independent fund in 2019. It now continuously supports energy conservation and renewable energy projects nationwide through research support, technology development, innovation, and workforce capacity building. After a funding pause from 2022 to 2023, allocations resumed in 2024 with 1.25 billion baht, generating annual energy savings of 171.26 ktoe valued at approximately 7.95 billion baht. Most 2024 support went toward solar rooftop and farm installations at 141 government offices, 817 remote communities without electricity, 71 schools and hospitals, and 10 farming and community enterprise groups, totaling 1,134 systems at 19.87 megawatts, offsetting 111.4 million baht in annual electricity costs.

The fund also supports energy efficiency improvements at over 600 regulated buildings and factories, spurring over 760 million baht annually in private sector investment from more than 80 industrial and commercial operators, resulting in combined energy savings worth 7.84 billion baht. For 2025, funding allocation is under review, targeting reduced living costs through renewable energy installation at over 1,200 village water systems nationwide, 1,000 agricultural and public water well systems, 74 off-grid solar community systems, 45 state hospitals, and 800 border security outposts. The fund also aims to support energy efficiency investments from over 200 businesses and renewable energy projects from 200 farming and community enterprise groups.

On August 4, 2569, the Judicial Commission of Thailand held its 20th meeting of the year on August 3 at the Rajdumnern Hall on the third floor of the Justice Building, chaired by Adisak Tantivengs, President of the Supreme Court. The commission approved a list of 247 judicial transfers and position swaps across three tiers and four rank levels.

Notable promotions include Mechay Tetchachanya, a Supreme Court judge, becoming director of the Criminal Court; Arthit Udomchoke elevated to head the Anti-Corruption and Misconduct Court; and Sampawit Tuvichian promoted to director of the Civil Court. Other significant moves include Chinoros Yongkiatsant advancing to the Supreme Court and Navi Skulwongthana becoming provincial judicial director for Region 2.

At an earlier meeting on July 13, the commission approved 56 additional transfers including Withoon Klongmeekun's promotion from deputy Supreme Court president to appellate court president, and Poemsak Saisithong's appointment to head the Political Cases Division at the Supreme Court. The Criminal Court, noted as Thailand's primary court with nationwide jurisdiction, receives particular attention in these administrative reshuffles.

At 9:30 a.m. on August 4, 2569 at Parliament, the opposition coalition coordination committee, led by Priset Wachrasin (a party-list MP and deputy leader of the People's Party) as opposition coalition chair, held an event titled "2nd Anniversary of Senate Election: Investigating Evidence in the Senate Seat Fraud Case (Special Section) – How Far Can We Trust the Election Commission?" Witnesses including Sarinthon Sondhisirikrit, Pol. Lt. Col. Pian Piamsuasdee, and Pol. Col. Manas Nakhonsri, a former Election Commission inspector, shared information.

Sarinthon stated that what surprised her most was that the Election Commission announced through a microphone that no documents would be allowed in the voting round—people could do whatever they wanted, then hand out new Senate candidate sets afterward. Many people began copying, thinking they would get away with it, but she never expected such large-scale fraud. More seriously, Ritchu Kaewlaai carried a briefcase and brought cameras, openly stating names without fear of lawsuits, only telling the truth.

Sarinthon further revealed that some alternate senators carried files into the voting room in the afternoon, which she found suspicious. After 1 a.m., she witnessed what appeared to be fraudulent processes and asked who the top authority was, being told it was Sawaeng Boonmee. After speaking with Sawaeng, she saw Khamrop walk in. She later took a vacation in Japan, then filed a case at the Supreme Court, but was told she had no standing to sue. When asked whom to sue if the Election Commission acted wrongly, she was told to file at the Corruption and Misconduct Court. She appealed after the first ruling rejected her case.

Sarinthon also disclosed that after the election, she investigated many candidates' qualifications and found a 40-year-old applicant with suspicious credentials—claiming 10 years as a military school instructor but verification showed this was false. Another claimed to be a nurse at a hospital, but this also proved untrue. She filed a complaint with the Election Commission on November 25, 2567, but received no response, and that person became a current senator.

Pol. Lt. Col. Pian noted that running for Senate exposed him to a contemptible process of seizing power by people claiming honor. He saw signs of dishonesty and filed a complaint with the Election Commission on June 24, 2567, noting that some applicants held national ID cards and even debt collectors by morning became Senate candidates by afternoon. Questions arose about who paid the 2,500-baht registration fee, and the Election Commission allowed unqualified candidates—those without 10 years' experience or with disqualifying factors—to apply. One person even vouched for multiple candidates on the same date.

Pol. Lt. Col. Pian added that he filed a police complaint on July 30, 2567, but after two months there was still no progress. On September 18, 2567, Cherdsakdi Netgeuakul, a former Senate candidate, filed a court case as an eligible candidate.

On August 4, Deputy Superintendent Chalat Homsing of Khlong Luang Station revealed that officers responded on August 3 at approximately 10:30 p.m. to a report of a fatal stabbing in a commercial building in Khlong Luang district, Pathum Thani. Officers including Major Vishnurak Prommesat and investigation sergeant Chaiyawit Chaithawar arrived with forensic and medical examiners from Thammasat Hospital's Institute of Forensic Medicine. The victim, identified as Min Min Lat, a 44-year-old Myanmar national, was found dead with two stab wounds—one to the upper abdomen and one to the left chest. A bloody kitchen knife used in the attack was recovered from the second-floor balcony. Witness testimony from three people, translated through an interpreter, revealed that the victim and suspect were friends drinking together on the fourth floor when the suspect demanded repayment of a 300 baht debt. When the victim refused, the suspect fatally stabbed him twice and fled, abandoning the knife on the second-floor balcony. The three witnesses attempted to help the victim but he had already died, prompting them to contact police. Deputy Superintendent Chalat stated that the suspect, a Myanmar national who works at a flower shop in Thai Market, has been identified and police have obtained an arrest warrant. Officers from Khlong Luang Station, Pathum Thani Provincial Police, and Region 1 Police are actively pursuing the suspect for prosecution.

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has launched SRT Express One Price, a nationwide parcel delivery service with fixed pricing: 70 baht per item for same-line shipments and 100 baht per item for cross-line deliveries. According to Methaphat Suntharawerapath, director of the SRT's public relations center, the service invites the public, online entrepreneurs, retailers, and anyone needing to send small packages to use the flat-rate rail transport service under the concept "One Price, All Costs Covered." This allows customers to know delivery fees in advance without calculating distance-based charges, making expense planning and cost control easier.

The service handles express parcels and small packages weighing up to 2 kilograms and measuring no more than 50 × 50 × 50 centimeters, ideal for documents, clothing, household items, online goods, and souvenirs. It leverages the railway network across the country to provide a convenient, swift, and accessible shipping option. The quoted rates are all-inclusive with no additional fees or surcharges, making the service suitable for individuals, online entrepreneurs, and small businesses seeking efficient shipping cost management.
