An American man has posted a YouTube video recounting how he was physically assaulted and robbed in the area opposite Soi Pattaya Sai 2 Soi 15, Nong Prue subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province on October 18. The video shows injuries to his face and body along with details of the incident.

The victim has been identified as Christopher Barne, a 37-year-old American YouTuber who creates content about Thai women in Pattaya. Barne says he was in a bar when a man he knew approached him and invited him to talk outside. When he followed the man out, another man waiting there suddenly attacked him before stealing the contents of his bag.

Stolen items included cash, credit cards, a DJI Osmo Pocket video camera, Apple AirPods, and his passport. Although he was later able to track the AirPods' location, some property has not been recovered.

Barne filed a police report at Pattaya City Police Station and noted that nearby building CCTV cameras captured the assault. He also described financial difficulties caused by the theft of his credit cards and personal documents, leading him to seek financial support from his online followers.

Abhisit criticized the government for treating the process as a mere ritual and urged respect for parliamentary scrutiny, noting the three party whips would negotiate the timetable. He also warned that rushing the debate would confirm the government's disregard for democratic checks and balances.
