Bangkok Man Arrested Same Day for Shooting Rival
A 20-year-old Bangkok man was arrested the same day after shooting a rival during a dispute over a young woman in Khlong Toei, leaving one victim wounded three times in the shoulder and chest.
Police from Khlong Toei Station arrested a 20-year-old suspect (identified as Mr. Kor) on July 29, 2569, following a shooting on Pridi Banomyong Lane 47. Officers recovered a Zoraki Model 914 blank-firing pistol chambered in .380, a magazine, a black Honda PCX motorcycle, and clothing worn during the incident.
Authorities received a report of an attempted murder at approximately 7:23 a.m. Investigation revealed that the suspect had arrived on the black PCX to pick up a young woman staying with the victims. An argument broke out before the suspect left, only to return with the firearm and shoot at the group, striking one victim three times in the shoulder and chest. The suspect then fled on the motorcycle.
Through CCTV review and investigation, police identified and apprehended the suspect shortly after. Under questioning, he admitted to the shooting, stating he returned with the weapon after the confrontation and dispute with the victims. Preliminary charges include attempted premeditated murder, unlawful possession and carrying of firearms in an urban area, and reckless discharge of a firearm in a populated area. The suspect has been handed over for further prosecution.
