Boonmee Sixnine Ready to Face Snail Lak Perd on Garngchai Day, Vows: No Defeat in My Mind
Muay Thai fighter Boonmee Sixnine arrived at Rangsit International Boxing Stadium on May 19 for weigh-in ahead of his Garngchai Day bout against Snail Lak Perd, vowing he has "no concept of defeat" in his mind.
At 6:50 a.m. on May 19, 2026, Boonmee Sixnine arrived at the Rangsit International Boxing Stadium for medical examination and weigh-in before the Garngchai Day fight. He arrived in a white Isuzu MU-X with his coach from Petchrachayim camp, wearing the camp's gear and his signature headphones along with his fighter's record book.
Upon arrival, Boonmee encountered Snail Lak Perd for the first time in over three weeks. The two fighters exchanged stares before striking fighting poses for media cameras without exchanging words.
Boonmee stated he felt 100 percent ready today but carried about 30 percent excitement, though he remained cautious—a personal safeguard. Over the past three weeks, he trained intensively with Petchrachayim camp, focusing on punches, elbows, running, and fundamental Muay Thai techniques. He strictly controlled his weight to stay under 53 kilograms to keep the fight engaging without excessive differences.
His confidence lies in his knees, kicks, and clinch work. Boonmee expressed eagerness to finish this fight so he can return to his business and personal life, as current pressures have negatively impacted it. "I won't disappoint," he said. "I'll give everything today to live up to expectations."
His goal for today is simple: victory or knockout—nothing less. He has no concept of defeat in his mind. Regarding the legal case between them, he hasn't withdrawn charges yet as he waits for the fight to conclude first.
Boonmee claimed that after appearing on a recent program, teenagers (possibly associated with Snail) circled his shop trying to provoke him, but he remained composed and focused on today's fight.
He extended a message to Snail: "Today, give your all, and after this fight, we'll certainly be friends."
Boonmee passed his medical examination. His vital stats: 166 centimeters tall, 117 pounds (approximately 52.7 kilograms). After weigh-in, he briefly stepped into the ring to perform traditional prayers and tested the canvas in all four corners before declaring himself ready.
