Caretaker Danny Invisibble Leads Bangkok United to 2-0 Win
Caretaker coach Danny Invisibble guided Bangkok United to a 2-0 home win over Uthai Thani, lifting the Angels to fifth in Thai League 1, though he insists he does not want the permanent role.
Caretaker head coach Danny Invisibble of True Bangkok United is happy with the team's resurgence in Thai League form but does not expect to remain as permanent head coach. In the BYD SEALION 6 Thai League 1 2026-27 match on October 31 at True BG Stadium, the seventh-ranked Angels hosted the fifth-ranked Wild Elephants of Huai Kha Khaeng, Uthai Thani FC. Following the departure of coach Thatchawan Sripan, Bangkok United appointed Invisibble as interim head coach. The match saw the Angels return to winning ways with a 2-0 home victory over Uthai Thani, adding three points to reach 13 and climb to fifth in the table.
After the game, the Angels' coach said: "It was a tough game. They are an experienced team with a good coach and capable players who can punish us if we make mistakes. We knew we had to play at our best and show our best form. Defensively we had to be solid because of their threat, but that also created counter-attacking opportunities for us, and we had to be ready for that."
"Bangkok United's playing style may change. Usually we focus on possession, but today we looked to wait for counter-attacks. This game was about getting the win, plain and simple. We needed to get back to winning ways. It might be different from before; they forced us to play that way. We have players who can hold and retain possession, but we wanted to create chances, and I think we did. We don't want Bangkok to play the same old style, but this was necessary for this game to get the three points we needed."
"Regarding whether I want to be permanent head coach: no. I received word from the board to come in and help manage the transition due to the changes, and I took on this duty. We want six points from these two games before the FIFA break. After that we'll talk with the board again, but I'm not expecting anything special."
"To the Bangkok United fans, I want to say I want to bring happiness and smiles. That's what everyone wants. You come to watch football to be happy. I listen to what the board wants; our model is growth and winning. If we win, we maintain performance and create scoring chances. I hope they support us and find joy, because we are delighted with them. Today's form was excellent."
