Thailand's First! CLICX Becomes the Country's First Approved Virtual Bank

CLICX, a branchless commercial bank operating under a partnership of three leading Thai organizations—Krung Thai Bank, Advanced Info Service, and PTT Oil and Retail—has achieved a major milestone for Thailand's financial industry after receiving approval from the Bank of Thailand to operate as a Virtual Bank on May 14, 2026. CLICX has become the country's first virtual bank, opening a new chapter in Thailand's financial system through a branchless bank born from the collaborative power of Thai organizations, aiming to provide equal and secure financial opportunities for all Thais.

The approval reflects CLICX's readiness to fully embrace digital banking across technology, security, service standards, and understanding of modern user financial behavior. This is not merely the arrival of a new player in the financial market, but a strategic move reflecting the transformation of Thailand's banking industry toward accessible, agile, secure digital financial services that truly understand Thai life.

CLICX operates under the concept of "Bank in One CLICX," elevating from being merely a digital bank to becoming "Beyond Banking" that seamlessly integrates financial services into daily life through AI applications for customer experience enhancement, real-life behavior analysis, and Alternative Data to create comprehensive financial perspectives. By leveraging the Bank of Thailand's open data policy for consumer empowerment, CLICX can develop new credit assessment models using alternative data to expand access to capital for Thai people and businesses while improving debt repayment capability evaluation compared to current models.

Born from the collaboration of three Thai partners—Krung Thai Bank, Advanced Info Service, and PTT Oil and Retail—combining strengths from three critical dimensions including digital technology connecting people widely, solid and trustworthy financial expertise, and an ecosystem close to consumers' daily lives, CLICX is more than just a new banking app but a "platform embedding finance into real life" (Embedded Banking) not constrained by branches, paperwork, or traditional service frameworks. It provides financial services at every moment of users' lives, reducing barriers to financial access and enabling Thais to manage money, save, and access financial products suited to their real lives more easily and securely.
