Entire Alley Terrorized as Unknown Man Throws Over 5 Cobras Into Dispute Target's House; Neighbors Fear for Safety

An entire neighborhood is gripped by fear after an unknown assailant threw over five cobras into a townhouse in the Jom Thong district of Bangkok on May 14, 2025. The incident occurred at a residence on Wutthakad Soi 53 in Bang Kho subdistrict, adding to a pattern of harassment that includes paint-splashing, stone-throwing, and now the introduction of dangerous snakes into a residential area. When rescue workers arrived, they discovered multiple large cobras packed in sealed sacks inside the house, confirming residents' worst fears about the intentional nature of the attack.

The harassment is believed to stem from an ongoing dispute related to a motorcycle fraud case, in which someone allegedly lost 5 million baht in a Harley-Davidson scam. Neighbors report that the violence escalated during the Songkran festival period, with the perpetrator repeatedly targeting the same house at all hours of the day and night. A 54-year-old rescue volunteer named Prasit Nilpat confirmed finding at least 5-6 large cobras inside the residence, each as thick as a man's arm, which were subsequently transferred to a wildlife rescue center.

Residents expressed deep concern about the danger posed to children and elderly people living in the alley, with many fearful of allowing their children to play outside. Neighbors called on the house owner and the other party in the dispute to come forward and resolve their differences through proper legal channels rather than endangering the entire community. The incident has prompted calls for both parties to clarify the facts and allow the neighborhood to return to a state of peace and safety.
