Incredible! NUVO's Massive Comeback Concert After 7 Years – 'NUVORIGINAL'

After seven years of waiting, legendary pop-rock boy band NUVO is thrilling fans with a major comeback concert called 'NUVORIGINAL,' promising to take audiences back to their authentic original sound while celebrating their remarkably solid 38-year friendship. The band vows to keep making music until their hands shake and they need wheelchairs.

On May 14, 2026, all six members of NUVO announced the concert 'CIMBweBOND Presents NUVORIGINAL CONCERT,' promising an authentic experience of early-era NUVO without any modifications. The band will deliver original 1980s album sounds while collaborating with GDH film production teams to create an unprecedented fusion of cinema and concert. They're also revealing behind-the-scenes stories of their 38-year friendship and confirming they'll continue performing music for life.

Band member Kong shared his excitement: "It's going to be fun—more than just playing music. We're mixing many stories with the music, and when it all comes together, it will be something we've never seen before, and I believe many people haven't either." He hinted at special guest appearances, noting that several dream guests they hoped to perform with have already committed, with about 90% of their guest ideas confirmed.

After a seven-year hiatus, Kong expressed the pent-up desire: "We wanted to play, and gradually more and more fans kept asking when the next big concert would be. We slowly planned it out with the organizers until we finalized today's event."

John emphasized the concert's significance, explaining that 'NUVORIGINAL' combines 'Nuvo' and 'Original' into one word, incorporating the DNA of NUVO fans into this special show.

Jo described NUVO's authenticity as rooted in their classic sound: "It's about the old-fashioned sound. We need to find that specific album sound. Throughout all our previous concerts—Nuvo in Love, Nuvo B-SIDE, Nuvo, NUVO NOW OR NEVER—everything has been modified with brass, chorus, and string instruments. But now we're back to six of us playing like a cassette tape from that era."

Jo expressed this as the most exciting moment in seven years: "There's no backup. It's just the six of us standing on stage the whole time. We have some special segments, but first and foremost, we need to bring our sound back. If we rely too much on synthesized or overly technical sounds, the essence of NUVO music gets lost. This time, we're returning to Ter's original arrangement style."
