Justice Minister Confirms Thaksin's Conditional Release from Prison, Electronic Monitoring Required
Former PM Thaksin will be conditionally released from prison on May 11th with an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet, the Justice Minister confirmed.
At 12:45 PM on May 5th, 2569 at Thai Bhumi Party headquarters, Justice Minister Pol. Lt. Gen. Rutpol Naowarat addressed the release process for former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra following his sentence commutation scheduled for May 11th. He stated that all procedures are proceeding smoothly, with the final meeting concluded on April 29th. According to the Justice Minister, the conditions for release include the sentence commutation and mandatory electronic monitoring (EM) ankle bracelet, as previously announced.
