Kuniya Pleads with Casemiro to Stay: Manchester United Midfielder Set to Leave After Season Ends
Casemiro will leave Manchester United after this season when his contract expires, despite teammate Kuniya's public plea for him to stay following his Man of the Match performance against Brentford.
Mateus Kuniya, Manchester United forward, posted an appeal for teammate Casemiro to remain with the Red Devils for another season. Casemiro has previously confirmed his departure from Manchester United after the current season concludes, when his contract expires. The 34-year-old midfielder has performed brilliantly for United, recording 9 goals and 2 assists while helping the team hold third place and secure qualification for next season's UEFA Champions League. Following Manchester United's recent 2-1 victory over Brentford, in which Casemiro scored the opening goal and won Man of the Match honors, Kuniya—sidelined with a hip injury—posted on Instagram appealing to his fellow Brazilian midfielder: "Stay for one more year, Casemiro." However, Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick has confirmed that Casemiro will definitely leave the club.
