Recently asked about his perspective on the best young player of this generation, Messi stated: "There are many talented young players, but if I had to choose one, considering his age and the future ahead of him, it would be Lamine Yamal." Speaking at an Adidas event and reported by Marca, he added: "There's no doubt—for me, he's the best. He reminds me of myself when I was young."
