Nurse's Mother Reveals Daughter's Final Heartbreaking Message
A young nursing assistant died in a fire at a Ladprao beer garden in Bangkok after just one month of marriage; her mother revealed her final heartbreaking LINE message—a single word "Mom"—sent before contact was lost.
The mother of a nursing assistant who died in the Ladprao beer bar fire has revealed the tragic final messages her daughter sent via LINE, in which she called out for her mother and sent crying emoticons before saying goodbye. On July 14, 2025, the home of 38-year-old Manirat Bomklang, known as Jib, in Buriram province was filled with grief and tears after authorities from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation brought her body home. Jib had been working as a nursing assistant at a private hospital in Bangkok for over 20 years and had been married to Sergeant First Class Anucha "Off" for only one month before the tragedy.
Her mother, Mayuree, 57, recounted that on the night of the fire, she had chatted normally with her daughter on LINE, who said she was waiting for her husband to pick her up. When Mayuree checked her phone the next morning, she found that her daughter had sent multiple crying emoticon stickers, and finally written just the word "Mom" before all contact was lost. Mayuree tearfully explained that she believed her daughter was trying to escape the fire but did not make it, and the emoticons were her way of asking for her mother before saying goodbye.
Off, Jib's husband, said that his wife rarely went out for drinks and would usually eat near the beer bar while waiting for him to pick her up. On that day, unusually, after showering at home, she told him she wanted to go out with friends for the evening. He agreed, planning to pick her up when she finished. When a friend called to tell him about the fire at the location where his wife had gone, he tried calling but got no answer, and ultimately discovered that his wife had died in the fire. Her friend who invited her out survived the incident.
