When asked for his reaction, Phipat let out an amused laugh before asking what was meant by that. When journalists explained that the blue regime reference concerned Phuea Thai Party, Phipat said it was normal politics and that both the government and opposition must fulfill their duties. He noted that if the opposition fails to do their job properly, they have nothing to tell the public about their accomplishments. When asked about Nattapong Rueangpanya, Democrat Party leader, calling Phuea Thai merely an agent of the blue regime, Phipat appeared confused and suggested the journalists ask Nattapong directly to clarify his statement.
