Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul addressed the Constitutional Court's scheduled ruling on July 9 regarding opposition lawmakers' challenge to a government decree authorizing emergency borrowing of up to 400 billion baht. The funds are intended to address impacts from the energy crisis and facilitate the country's energy transition. Anutin stated that the government has submitted all supporting documents and evidence, and will accept the court's decision unconditionally. When asked if the government had contingency plans for a negative ruling, Anutin said he expects the court's examination of the government's explanation and documentation will lead to a correct judgment. He emphasized that regardless of the court's decision, the government will comply fully with any directives or orders issued, as it must respect all court rulings. When asked about his confidence in the case, Anutin noted that the government has followed proper procedures and presented factual information, but acknowledged that confidence is not guaranteed since the government is not the decision-maker.
