Bastian Schweinsteiger, a legendary midfielder for the German national team, has expressed confidence that the German Football Association will appoint Jürgen Klopp as the new head coach.

Germany was shockingly eliminated in the round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after losing to Paraguay in a penalty shootout.

Schweinsteiger recently suggested that the DFB (German Football Association) will replace current coach Julian Nagelsmann by bringing in Jürgen Klopp, the former Liverpool manager.

"I believe that will happen. Of course nothing is confirmed yet, but I have a feeling it will happen that way," Schweinsteiger said.

"If Jürgen becomes the national team coach, he will bring power to the team. The DFB is in an emergency situation, and I feel that will happen."
