July 7 – Rescue officials from the Ayutthaya United Association responded to a report of a 16-year-old student who fell from a Ayutthaya-Wang Noi public bus with serious injuries on Rojana Road in Ban Pa-in District, Ayutthaya Province. The injured student, identified as Phaluewat, was found lying on the roadside with severe facial lacerations, a fractured skull, multiple broken front teeth, and heavy bleeding. Rescue personnel provided first aid before rushing him to Uthai Hospital.

According to Panya, an official from the Ayutthaya United Association, the student fell from the bus while attempting to get off. The exact circumstances remain unclear, though the student reported he slipped and lost his balance while standing to exit. The bus did not come to a complete stop. Later at Bang Pa-in Police Station, the student's 40-year-old mother, Thiphya, filed a report alongside the bus driver.

Thiphya explained she was waiting at her usual pickup location across the street when the accident occurred. She was unaware her son had fallen until he video-called her saying "I fell off the bus." Shocked by his condition, she noted she had always driven him to and from school since childhood. She had only recently started allowing him to take the public bus home as a way to teach him independence, while she continued to drive him in the mornings. She never expected such an accident would happen.

The bus driver has taken responsibility and begun discussing compensation with the family, including assistance through the Motor Vehicle Accident Victims Protection Act for medical expenses and ongoing settlement negotiations. The incident is believed to have occurred when the student stood up to exit and lost his footing, falling from the moving bus.

Yamaha Factory Racing Team fielded three world-class riders—Jack Miller, Andrea Locatelli, and Katsuyuki Nakasuga—in the legendary Suzuka 8-Hour endurance race at Suzuka Circuit in Japan with their Yamaha YZF-R1.

Throughout the weekend, the factory team's champions demonstrated outstanding performance from practice through qualifying, securing fifth on the grid before the main race commenced.

The intense competition faced challenging weather with alternating rain and dry track conditions throughout the race. This forced all teams to adjust their strategies regarding tire selection, vehicle control, and race management over the eight-hour duration.

Despite facing difficult conditions, Jack Miller, Andrea Locatelli, and Katsuyuki Nakasuga maintained excellent race pace, taking turns to extract maximum performance from the Yamaha YZF-R1 as they continuously pressured the leading positions. In the final stages, they accelerated hard and moved up to secure second place in the final hour, trailing the leader by just one lap while keeping the victory within reach until the race's conclusion.

However, when heavy rain fell and track conditions deteriorated beyond safe racing standards, race officials decided to end the competition early. This resulted in Yamaha Factory Racing Team claiming the podium finish in second place with a total of 188 laps completed.

Team Manager Wataru Yoshikawa stated:

"In the final stages of the race, we managed to pressure our competitors well and reduced the gap from last year. But finishing second again shows there are still many areas we need to develop."

"I feel disappointed we couldn't convert the outstanding performance of all three riders and our team into a victory. Jack and Loca demonstrated the caliber of world-class riders—their speed, determination, and technical feedback greatly elevated our team."

"I've worked with Nakasuga in the pit for many years and have always been inspired by his work approach. Every rider, like myself, is disappointed because we didn't come here just to be satisfied with a podium finish. Our only goal is victory."

Russia may return to compete at the 2028 Olympics in the United States after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced a suspension of its ban, provided athletes comply with anti-doping regulations.

The IOC imposed a ban on Russia in 2023 following its invasion of Ukraine, which prevented Russian athletes from competing under their national flag. Previously authorized Russian athletes were required to compete under a neutral flag.

However, the IOC has now stated that the ban is no longer enforceable, meaning Russian athletes can participate again as long as they meet anti-doping requirements.

Still, the IOC has not granted Russia permission to display its flag, national anthem, or any national symbols at the Olympics, saying such decisions will be reconsidered at an appropriate time.

The IOC also announced it will not hold any organizational events in Russia or invite Russian officials to its functions, while continuing to support Ukraine's Olympic movement.

Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev stated via Telegram that his country welcomes the IOC's decision, emphasizing that the Olympics must remain free from politics. Russia is planning to participate in qualifying rounds for the upcoming Games.

The Royal Gazette published a notice from the Party Registrar on July 7 regarding changes to the Democrat Party's executive board. According to the announcement, following an extraordinary general meeting held on August 9, 2567, the party approved revised bylaws and elected a new five-member executive committee to replace the former Thalokakhaew Chaowalaiwilai Party regulations.

Subsequently, the party chair received notification on February 27, 2569 (2026) that Srayut Caikhon resigned as party secretary, effective April 24, 2569. Additionally, Pitcharn Chaowapattanawong submitted his resignation as executive board member on April 24, 2569, the same date his resignation took effect under Section 37 of the 2567 Democrat Party bylaws.

These resignations reduced the executive board to three members:
