At 12:45 a.m. on July 12, 2569, Deputy Superintendent Sirinthorn Darunigorn of Lopburi City Police received a report of a vehicle that had veered off the road and plunged into the Chainat-Pa Sak Canal along the canal road between Bridge 8 and Bridge 9 in Moo 3, Pa Thorn Subdistrict, Lopburi. Rescue volunteers and divers were dispatched to investigate. At the dark scene, they found skid marks in the grass leading into the canal, but could not initially locate the vehicle. Search and rescue operations began at 3:30 a.m., eventually discovering the car submerged at approximately 10 meters depth in strong currents. The vehicle remained upright with a cracked right window. After planning the operation, rescue teams were able to secure the vehicle with cables by 4:40 a.m. to prevent it from drifting downstream. By 5:35 a.m., the vehicle was successfully retrieved.

The vehicle was identified as a black Ford Everest with Chachoengsao license plate number กล 5293. Inside were the bodies of Nattaporn Pantong, 54, and Thanyabhoorn Jabbprang, 50. Witnesses sitting nearby fishing around midnight reported hearing a vehicle splash into the water and seeing taillights gradually disappear underwater, prompting them to alert police. Local residents indicated they had seen the vehicle circulating in Lopburi and surrounding areas, though they were uncertain whether it was a commercial vehicle. The two bodies underwent preliminary examination by the hospital physician before being transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine under the Justice Ministry for further autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Dr. Rebecca Russell, executive director and CEO of corporate communications at ICC International Public Company Limited, along with company employee representatives, paid respects and laid wreaths before the portrait of Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradetiyavadi at Piman Rattaya Hall in the Grand Palace, expressing deep condolences and gratitude for her countless kindnesses.

Before viewers immerse themselves in Netflix's "The East Palace" series, Netflix has organized the "Crossing the Spirit World of the East Palace in Central Bangkok" event, inviting series fans into a spiritual world recreating the mysterious, period atmosphere featured in the show. The cursed East Palace experience is free to enter at the Elephant Parking Lot area from July 18-26, with weekend access (July 18-19 and 25-26) starting at 10:00 AM and weekday access (July 20-24) starting at 3:00 PM. Recently, he welcomed a group of monks from Sakaew Province, joining with his mother and villagers in alms-giving, chanting, meditation, and spiritual practice.

Actress Gift Supichchaya, who plays younger sister Prao in the 7HD drama "Every Atom of Heart," shared her experience: "I play Proausa, the younger sister of Phaswat, played by Well Ditsayakorn. At first I was quite nervous, but after workshops and fittings, I became more familiar with it. As we filmed together, our chemistry grew stronger and I really felt Well was like a true older brother. There's one scene that particularly moved me where Proausa opens up to her brother. Well's eyes were so genuine that I thought if we had an older brother like that, we would love him so much."

Police arrested two men on July 12, 2025, following an investigation into a vehicle break-in and theft ring. Senior officers from Phlabphla Police Station 2 directed investigators to apprehend Prasert, 39, who was found with a stolen iPad in his room in Bangkok's Huay Kwang district, and Sujinda, 33, on charges of nighttime theft involving property damage and receiving stolen goods.

The investigation began after a victim reported on July 8 that his parked Mazda had been broken into on Pak Soi Charoen Krung 29. The left rear window was smashed, and items stolen included an iPad, a silver MacBook, and other valuables. Police tracked the suspects using closed-circuit camera footage and traced the iPad's signal.

Investigators discovered that the perpetrator had handed the iPad to Prasert in front of a convenience store near Soi Pracha Uthit 17 before retrieving it from a rental room. When officers searched the room, they found the victim's iPad hidden inside and seized it as evidence. Prasert attempted to flee but was apprehended.

Sujinda confessed to breaking into the car and stealing the items. He admitted this was his first offense and voluntarily cooperated with police, guiding them to search his room where they found clothing worn during the crime. Sujinda stated he had given the iPad and MacBook to Prasert to unlock the devices before receiving the MacBook back to resell. Police seized the motorcycle used in the theft as evidence and forwarded both suspects to face legal proceedings at Phlabphla Police Station 2.

Bell Bird's Nest Brand Enlists Presenter For Quality Push
4d ago Khaosod

Bell, a premium ready-to-drink bird's nest brand led by executive Surchai Pimpraiporn, was the main sponsor of the upscale "Chuchai Influ Diamond Night" event at Hotel Muse, attended by numerous entertainers and celebrities. The brand showcased its redesigned bird's nest product to distinguished guests and media.

As Bell enters its 21st year, the company has undertaken a major packaging overhaul, replacing traditional steel caps with modern threaded closures to elevate the product's premium status and appeal to contemporary consumers. This new design differentiates Bell from competitors and breaks the traditional image of bird's nest beverages, positioning it as suitable both for daily health maintenance and as a luxury gift.

The brand recruited popular TV presenter and newsreader Chuchai Kamnerd Poylai as its ambassador. Poylai repeatedly tested the product before agreeing to endorse it, giving his full confidence in its quality.

Regarding expansion plans, Surchai revealed that two weeks prior, he had just returned from China after being invited by Qihuo Xtian to join 60 Thai brands launching on a Chinese e-commerce platform—a major step for international market growth.

To navigate current economic conditions, the company is adapting its strategy to align with modern consumer behavior, focusing on four pillars: premium product quality, modern and user-friendly packaging, contemporary appeal for younger generations, and affordable pricing. Bell offers three formulas in three flavors, available nationwide.

"I encourage health-conscious consumers to try Bell bird's nest," Surchai concluded. "You won't be disappointed because Chuchai guarantees its quality."

Purple Line Metro Tunnel Leak Improving, Government Pledges Full Compensation

Water infiltration at Bangkok's Purple Line metro tunnel construction site between Tao Poon and Ratchadamri is improving after soil strengthening work, with the government pledging full compensation for affected residents.

Purple Line Metro Tunnel Leak Improving, Government Pledges Full Compensation
4d ago Khaosod

The Ministry of Transport is expediting measures to fix water infiltration into the Purple Line electric train tunnel construction site between Tao Poon and Ratchadamri (on the Kanchanaphisek Ring Road), near the Grand Roundabout intersection. Deputy Government Spokesman Lalida Periwivattana announced on July 12 that the ministry is strengthening soil to reduce groundwater seepage while closely monitoring impacts on buildings and caring for affected residents.

Transport Minister Siripong Angskulgiat is overseeing the situation and directing the Mass Transit Authority of Thailand (MRT) to accelerate repairs. Contractors have recently completed relocating an overpass at the incident site and completed soil improvement grouting at one of five planned locations, with work continuing on the remaining four. The latest monitoring shows water flow into the tunnel has decreased, allowing pump operations to be reduced. Building movement and road subsidence measurements taken every 30 minutes within a 30-meter radius now show declining trends, indicating repair measures are taking effect.

To assist affected residents, the MRT and contractors have established a complaint center near the Monument to King Taksin the Great. So far, 105 people have sought assistance, with 32 more residents still being contacted. Affected residents can call 08-4356-5211 or visit the complaint center directly. The government pledges close monitoring and full compensation for affected residents while implementing engineering solutions to resolve the situation safely and quickly.
