Tacereuq delivered a beautiful knockout victory over Tank Jitmuangnanth in the final round to claim the interim ONE Kickboxing Flyweight World Championship, perfectly capping off ONE Samurai 1 on April 29, 2025, at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
The main event featured Tank Jitmuangnanth, former ONE Muay Thai Flyweight World Champion, against local favorite Tacereuq in a fight for the interim ONE Kickboxing Flyweight World Championship (125-135 lbs). In their rematch from ONE 172 in Japan last March, Tank had won quickly with a devastating left hook to the jaw, knocking out Tacereuq at 1:20 of the first round. This time proved different, as Tank was sent down four times before being knocked out by Tacereuq in the final round, securing the interim championship in impressive fashion.
Nadaka, the undefeated ONE Muay Thai Atomweight World Champion from Japan with 40 consecutive victories, successfully defended his title for the first time against Songchai Noi Kiattisongrit, a Thai challenger. Throughout an exciting fight, Songchai pressed forward from the opening round while Nadaka relied on speed and timing, ultimately winning by decision to extend his undefeated streak to 41 consecutive fights.
Haggerty returned after 432 days away from competition following ONE 171 in Qatar on February 25, 2025, successfully defending his Kickboxing Championship title for the second time. Yuki Motoya, the local Japanese fighter, attempted calf kicks on Haggerty's advancing knees but couldn't break through. The bout remained competitive throughout five rounds, with Haggerty ultimately securing the decision victory and his second successful title defense.
Marat Grigorian, the fierce Armenian striker, lived up to his reputation by sending local favorite Kaito down to the canvas in the opening round and securing a knockout victory in the Kickboxing Featherweight bout (145-155 lbs).
In another Muay Thai Flyweight (125-135 lbs) matchup, 21-year-old Shimon Daw, a Japanese prospect, was dropped twice but recovered to defeat Johan Ghazali, a Malaysian-American fighter, by decision and earned a 1.7 million baht bonus with a new ONE contract.
