Furious Hotel Owner Storms Police Station After Cops Release 7 Russian Teens Who Broke into Hotel
On January 31, chaos erupted at the Na Jomtien Police Station in Chonburi when the owner of the famous Ambassador City Jomtien five-star hotel arrived to demand answers from police about releasing 7 Russian teenagers who had broken into temporarily closed hotel buildings.
Ms. Nawanert, 54, the hotel owner, came with her lawyer and hotel manager to question the police about releasing the group - 3 males and 4 females - who had entered the Town Tower and Ambassador Tower wings around 2 AM. Hotel security had initially found the group, with two parking motorcycles outside and five sneaking inside, acting suspiciously when questioned.
The hotel staff discovered cut ropes on doors and scattered items, indicating potential property damage. When they tried to file a police report, the police first requested authorization documents. However, by the time the documents were submitted, the Russian teens had already been released.
The police claimed the hotel staff didn't want to press charges, which the hotel staff strongly denied. The investigating officer confirmed the group's passports and motorcycles were seized, and they are currently collecting evidence. If clear evidence of wrongdoing is found, they may issue arrest warrants or formally charge the teenagers.
