Football Association Teams Up with BYD to Train AFC 'B' License Coaches to International Standards
The project is a B License football coach development course following the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) standards, offering 24 coaches from across the country free training. The program focuses on enhancing coaching capabilities in T2 and T3 leagues, developing advanced youth coaches and amateur football players, with the aim of providing systematic team management skills that meet international standards. The event was honored by Mr. Anthony Hudson, head coach of the Thai national men's team, and "Tong" Gavin Thammasajjanant, a legendary Thai national goalkeeper, who shared their experiences and inspired the 24 participants. The training was intensive, covering both theoretical and practical on-field sessions. Participants learned modern football concepts, tactics, individual player development, and competitive team management. Jirasak Chuen-arom, Managing Director of Reve Automotive, explained BYD's intention to support Thai football development: "BYD, as the main sponsor of the Thai national team and Thai League for the 2025/26 season, recognizes the importance of coaches as the key force behind athletes' success. Being a football coach isn't just about playing or watching games, but requires training in internationally certified courses with proper licensing." BYD continues its mission to "charge Thai football," believing that "power" extends beyond electric vehicle technology to the potential of sports personnel. The company aims to create a network of 24 quality B License coaches from across the country to strengthen Thai football's infrastructure and develop it sustainably to an international level. The participants were selected from Thai League 3 clubs, divided into 6 zones with 4 coaches per zone, ensuring widespread opportunity and knowledge distribution. Jirasak concluded by congratulating the 24 selected coaches and emphasizing their crucial role in elevating Thai football's international standards.
