25-Year-Old Man Brings Drugs to Police Station, Begs to Be Arrested to Reunite with Boyfriend in Jail
Police were shocked when a 25-year-old LGBTQ+ individual arrived at the Bang Lamung Police Station on February 10th at 12:00 PM, holding methamphetamine and crystal meth. The man, identified as Wacharakul Natchat, voluntarily surrendered 6 methamphetamine pills and 0.01 grams of crystal meth, asking officers to arrest him.
Wacharakul explained that he had recently been released from Pattaya Special Prison on February 5th and had no place to go. Missing his boyfriend, who was still imprisoned, he purchased drugs and deliberately came to the police station to be arrested. He claimed that life outside prison was unbearable and he wanted to return to be with his boyfriend.
The former airline ground staff employee revealed that his boyfriend had been involved in a call center fraud scheme and was arrested, which triggered his depression and panic. Feeling suicidal and unhappy outside, he deliberately sought arrest. Police initially charged him with possession of Category 1 narcotics with intent to distribute and proceeded with legal processing.
