Lottery Seller Van Carrying Disabled Group Swerves and Crashes into Barrier, 6 Injured
A dramatic accident occurred when a van carrying a group of disabled lottery sellers swerved to avoid a pickup truck, crashing into a roadside barrier. At 7:00 AM on February 23rd, Police Lieutenant Kongkidakorn Kramsaeng from Khlong Ha Police Station was notified of the incident on Khlong Raphi Phatthana Road in Pathum Thani province.
At the scene, a Toyota van with Bangkok license plates was found severely damaged after colliding with the roadside barrier. Six people were injured - 2 men and 4 women - and were quickly given first aid and rushed to a nearby hospital.
Ms. Worawan (surname withheld), 41, one of the injured, explained that she and her five disabled colleagues were traveling to sell lottery tickets when the sudden accident occurred. The van driver stated he was transporting the group to various sales points when a pickup truck cut in front of him, forcing him to swerve sharply and ultimately crash.
Police investigators will review CCTV footage to identify the pickup truck and conduct further interviews to pursue legal action.
