Doctor Reveals 90% of Sexually Active Men Unknowingly Carry HPV

BANGKOK — A leading Thai gynaecologist has highlighted the widespread but often unrecognized risk of HPV among sexually active men. Dr. Prayongsri Kamprapan from Thanakan Hospital emphasized that more than 90% of sexually active men will contract HPV during their lifetime, frequently without experiencing any symptoms. She stressed the importance of gender-neutral vaccination, noting that HPV can lead to various cancers in men, including oral, throat, anal, and penile cancers, and can be transmitted unknowingly to partners.
