TAT Launches Slow-Life Travel Experience in Two Coastal Provinces
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is offering a unique travel experience called 'Explore Sakhon, Stay in Songkhram' with five distinct travel routes. The initiative encourages travelers to use train travel to explore local lifestyles, communities, and eco-friendly destinations across two central provinces.
The five routes include community tourism experiences, visiting the new suspension bridge at Wat Yai in Mae Klong, participating in mangrove forest planting at Khlong Klon, exploring sustainable tourism in Amphawa and Bang Khonthi districts, and discovering local attractions like organic pomelo gardens and community-based experiences.
Key highlights include visiting Somdul Bee Sanctuary, exploring Bang Plub community known for fruit orchards, and experiencing Uncle Siri's lime farm with zero-waste management. The program aims to promote ecological tourism, support local communities, and reduce carbon emissions.
