Kunanun Leads Thai Tennis Youth in International Tournament Challenge
In the ITF Juniors World Tennis Tour J200 (1) tournament, four Thai male youth tennis players were eliminated in the second qualifying round. Dan Thai Takong (world ranking 1223) lost to Lu Hanley from China (world ranking 178), with a 0-2 set score of 3-6, 3-6. Ariyaphol Leekul (world ranking 866) was defeated by Jiang Ze from China (world ranking 597) 0-2 sets. Pawornprach Ngunboonsri (world ranking 869) lost to Ollie Knight from the United Kingdom with a score of 7-6(4), 0-6, and 2-8 Ret due to cramps. Waritsarot Lertbanthanawong also lost to Chen Xingyu from China (world ranking 281). However, 17-year-old Kunanun Pantharatorn, ranked 47th in world youth rankings, remains in the main draw competition from February 23-28, 2024. The tournament is significant as champions in both men's and women's singles categories will earn 200 ranking points, attracting top 50 and 100 world youth tennis players.
