Shocking Police Flat: Officer Found Dead Beside Building with Heartbreaking Letter

On February 6, 2024, Police Lieutenant Saruta Pumdoung from Phuket City Police Station reported that at 9:20 PM on February 5, they were notified of a death near the police apartment complex. The deceased was identified as Police Lieutenant Nueng, 58 years old, a former police officer from Phuket who was in the process of retiring. Preliminary investigations suggest he may have fallen from a height within the building. A letter found in his room appeared to be a suicide note. Forensic medical examiner Dr. Arthit Suravisalkul from Vachira Phuket Hospital conducted an initial examination. The letter contained specific instructions about his funeral, including not informing his mother, requesting a 40,000 baht merit-making, and strictly prohibiting his body from being dressed in official uniform.
