Unforgettable Journey: Chinese Taxi Driver Drives Influencers 4,000 km Across China
On February 22, an extraordinary journey unfolded when a Chinese taxi driver embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime trip, driving international influencers over 4,000 kilometers from the southernmost to the northernmost part of the country. Raz Gal-Or, an Israeli influencer famous in China with over 9.5 million followers, and a French influencer traveled from Hainan province in southern China to Harbin in Heilongjiang province in the northeast. During the journey, the taxi driver named Liu, 39 years old with only primary education and who had never left Hainan before, experienced numerous 'firsts' - seeing famous landscapes like Guilin, the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, and experiencing snow for the first time in Harbin. Throughout the 4-day trip, Liu constantly called his wife and two sons to share his excitement. His most memorable moment was visiting Tiananmen Square in Beijing, a place he had only read about and dreamed of seeing since childhood. At the end of the trip, Raz paid 30,000 yuan (approximately 135,000 baht) and gifted a framed group photo, which moved Liu to tears. He even paid for Liu's first-ever flight from Harbin to Guilin. Liu's wife initially suspected a scam but ultimately became proud of her husband's incredible adventure. The story went viral on Chinese social media, with many praising Liu as a hardworking, honest grassroots worker.
