Chiang Mai's Doi Tao district successfully mobilized two teams to control and extinguish 15 forest fire points in Mae Hat National Reserved Forest on February 15, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The operation was conducted under the direction of Rattaphol Naradis, the Chiang Mai Governor, with integrated teams from various sectors. The first team, consisting of rapid response units, forestry officials, firefighters, local government representatives, and community leaders, controlled and extinguished 5 fire groups across 8 points in mountainous and lowland areas. The second team, comprised of forest fire experts and Chiang Mai's fire tiger units, accessed steep terrain on foot and motorcycles, successfully controlling and extinguishing 3 fire groups across 7 points. The entire operation concluded at 6:30 PM, taking 9 hours and 30 minutes, with all 8 fire groups and 15 hotspots successfully contained. No personnel were injured during the mission, which was highlighted by swift, coordinated response and efficient fire control to protect the local environment and community.
