Shocking! Young Girl Accidentally Destroys Nearly 70,000-Piece Beer Mat Tower
A stunning incident occurred in a shopping center in Cologne, Germany, when a young girl accidentally caused a beer mat tower containing almost 70,000 pieces to collapse. The massive sculpture was created by 49-year-old German artist Benjamin Klapper, who spent over 120 hours constructing the structure at the Rhine-Center mall to challenge the Guinness World Record. Klapper began building the enormous structure on October 31 of the previous year and completed it on December 8, aiming to create the world's largest drink coaster structure. The viral video showed a young girl pulling out coaster pieces from the tower, dubbed the 'Everest of Beer Mats', causing it to dramatically collapse in front of stunned onlookers. However, Klapper later explained that the collapse was part of a planned interactive 'Beer Mat Jenga' game, where participants would take turns removing pieces until the tower falls. Despite missing the world record, Klapper views the project as a significant milestone in his artistic career, having created beer mat structures since childhood.
