Ministry of Justice Transfers DSI Deputy Director Pol. Lt. Col. Surawut Rangsai to Corrections Department

The Ministry of Justice has transferred Pol. Lt. Col. Surawut Rangsai, Deputy Director of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), to the Corrections Department on February 2. Permanent Secretary Pongsawat Neelaiyothin signed order 26/2569 transferring Surawut to the new position. Surawut, who became DSI Deputy Director on February 3, 2025, was previously responsible for leading special investigations, including a probe into bid-rigging for the new State Audit Office building and investigations into foreign companies involved in nominee and human trafficking cases. He recently also participated in a press conference about the Worldcoin iris scan cryptocurrency investigation, which raised potential data security concerns.
