TAT Holds Chinese New Year Blessing Ceremony Celebrating 51 Years of Thai-Chinese Relations
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) held a Chinese New Year blessing ceremony for 2026, celebrating 51 years of Thai-Chinese diplomatic relations. Attakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, highlighted the significance of the event, emphasizing the deep cultural and friendship bonds between Thailand and China. The ceremony was attended by Zhang Jianwei, Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, and Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, along with government and private sector partners. The event commemorated 51 years of diplomatic relations and 22 years of tourism cultural cooperation between TAT and China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The ambassador described the relationship as 'China and Thailand - One Family', reflecting the close cultural and social ties between the two nations. Four cultural performance groups from Beijing, Chongqing, Henan, and Fujian provinces participated in the celebrations, adding color and joy to the event. The ceremony included gift exchanges and special cultural performances, including a 'Horse Dance' symbolizing progress and commitment for the upcoming year.
