Female Driver Crashes Car into 57-Year-Old Woman, Leaving Her Critically Injured Under Vehicle

At 5:00 PM on February 10, 2024, Thung Khru Police Station was notified of a personal vehicle accident hitting a pedestrian near a gold shop at Pracha Uthit Soi 74/1 in Bangkok. Volunteers from the Ruam Katanyu Foundation arrived at the scene and found a white Ford vehicle with license plate 6 กค 5584 stopped in front of the gold shop, with its front wheels resting two steps up on the shop's entrance stairs. Under the vehicle was a critically injured woman identified as Ms. Ratchana Chandarduang, 57, lying face down with blood pooling around her. Volunteers and local residents helped lift the car off the victim and provided initial first aid before calling an emergency ambulance. Witnesses reported the female driver, around 30-35 years old, likely panicked and accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. Police have begun investigating the incident and will take legal actions accordingly.
