Truck Collides with Motorcycle at Lampang Transport Intersection, One Dead, One Injured

On February 20, 2024, investigators from Lampang City Police Station were notified of an accident involving a trailer truck colliding with a motorcycle, resulting in injuries and a fatality at the Lampang Transport intersection on Vachiravuth Damnoen Road. The white Isuzu truck with license plate 81-8599 from Phrae was parked on the roadside, with a pink Honda Scoopy motorcycle severely damaged and dragged over 100 meters. A 50-year-old woman was injured in the ankle and taken to Lampang Hospital. Nearby, the body of a 60-65-year-old woman was found on the road, run over by the truck. The truck driver, Banchaa, 25, stated he was turning right when a pickup truck entering the transport office caused the motorcycle to swerve into a blind spot, resulting in the collision. Police are investigating the incident and reviewing CCTV footage to determine the exact cause.
