Warning: Romance Scammer Tricks Older Woman Online, Steals Car and Valuable Gold Amulet
On February 8th, a 50-year-old woman named Namphung from Pathum Thani was scammed by a man named Surasit Nuan-charoen from Sakon Nakhon after meeting him on Facebook. After developing a romantic connection over two months, he invited her to a resort, borrowed her Toyota Vios under the pretense of buying beer, and then disappeared with her vehicle and valuable possessions. The stolen items included a 2-baht gold necklace worth 40,000 baht and a rare Luang Pu Thuad amulet with a diamond-studded gold frame worth 100,000 baht. Police have located the abandoned vehicle and are actively pursuing the suspect.
