Foreign Tourist Shocked After Lottery Ticket Turns Out to Be Expired
On February 3, 2024, a foreign national discovered he had purchased two lottery tickets with the last two digits 48 for the February 1 draw. However, when attempting to claim the prize at the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), he learned the tickets were from an outdated January 17 draw. The incident occurred at a shopping mall in Bueng Sam Phan District, Phetchabun Province, where the lottery seller had inadvertently or intentionally sold expired tickets. His wife, Boon Chob, 60, explained they purchased the tickets without checking the date, and the experience was emotionally devastating. She warned other lottery players to always verify the date of their tickets before purchasing to avoid similar disappointments.
