Pro Jeeno Scores 9 Under Par on Birthday, Secures Second Place in Honda LPGA Tournament
The Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 golf tournament at Siam Country Club Old Course in Chonburi featured 72 world-class LPGA tour players competing for a total prize of $1.8 million on February 20th, the second day of the competition.
'Pro Jeeno' Ariya Jutanugarn, the world's No. 1 Thai female golfer, scored 9 under par on her 23rd birthday, including 1 eagle at hole 7 and 7 birdies, with a total score of 14 under par 230, securing second place.
The Thai golfer noted she performed exceptionally well in the first 9 holes, with good shots and putts. She remained focused and delivered an impressive performance that exceeded her expectations.
'This is the day I heard the Happy Birthday song the most in my life. Many people prepared cakes, and it was a great moment on my birthday, plus I played well,' Pro Jeeno said.
Korean golfer Lee So-mi leads the tournament with 11 under par, totaling 17 under par 127. Other Thai golfers also showed strong performances in various rankings.
