Social Security Reveals Over 1.2 Million Public Comments on New Election Regulations

On February 20, 2024, Ms. Kanchana Poolkaew, Secretary-General of the Social Security Office, announced that the public consultation on draft labor ministry regulations for electing employer and insured person representatives to the Social Security Committee received 1,244,260 comments between January 15 and February 14, 2024. The comments were collected through three channels: the central legal system website (56.21%), Social Security Office website (36.26%), and local Social Security offices nationwide (7.53%). Participant breakdown shows that insured workers under Article 33 were the most active, representing 73.74% of respondents. The Social Security Office will carefully analyze all feedback and present a summary report to relevant committees by March 2024, before submitting to the Minister of Labor for final consideration.
