CP Foundation Welcomes SEAMEO SEPS to Study Sufficiency Economy at Thep Ya Garden
On January 28, 2026, CP Group and CP Foundation's Rural Life Development Foundation hosted a delegation from the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for Sustainability (SEAMEO SEPS). Led by Krittayarat Parame, Assistant Secretary of the Foundation, the group included Duriya Amatavivat, the Center's Director, and educational and cultural experts from 8 Southeast Asian countries and Bhutan. They visited the 'Thep Ya Garden' at Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province, which originated from General Prem Tinsulanonda's policy to develop farmers' careers and income in a historically low-income area. The project transformed over 20 rai of dry farmland into a model 'Dharma Land, Golden Land' site demonstrating sufficiency economy principles. The visit aimed to exchange knowledge and showcase a community development model that integrates agricultural skills with local lifestyles. The delegation observed the site's success in self-reliance, income generation, and knowledge sharing, viewing it as a potential international model for improving farmers' quality of life and ensuring food security.
