Ling Khob Students' Fighting Spirit: Petanque Stars Win Royal Trophy

The petanque team from Wat Bawon Mongkol School (Ling Khob School) participated in the Mae Fah Luang Petanque Open competition, aiming to win a royal trophy from Princess Galyani Vadhana. The 12th Mae Fah Luang Open competition was held on February 14, 2024, where the school's athletes secured first and second runner-up positions. The athletes include Sirirat Kraitep, a former student and SEA Games silver medalist, Saranya Wangniben from 12th grade, and Suchanya Pharapee from 10th grade. School director Watchara Ngammirit emphasized continued support for petanque sports, noting the school's commitment to developing athletes who can represent the national team. He highlighted that the sport was a favorite of Princess Srinagarindra (Princess Grandmother) and sees promoting it as a way to honor her legacy and contributions to Thailand.
